Life in the Spirit Retreat

From January to April 2007, I attended Life in the Spirit retreat, a program inspired by a seminar of the same name run by the Charismatic Renewal. Didn’t know what to expect. Had a wonderful experience and recommend it to everyone.

St Stephen’s Chapel Bible Study Program

Wednesday evenings from 6pm to 7:30, a group of wonderful and engaging people from various walks of life gather in downtown Toronto – on Bay Street – to study the Bible, discuss religion, love and other important subjects of discussion. It’s a gratifying and enriching experience and a welcome anchor and embrace in an otherwise turbulent and sometimes rough world.

In June, we said farewell to Fr. Noel, our group leader and director of the Chapel, who is now at another parish in Mississauga.

Out of the Cold

Out of the Cold is a program managed by local churches in Toronto, that offer temporary, emergency shelter for the homeless and vulnerable. Volunteers and donors play a critical role in helping run the shelter, which runs from November through to April each year. 2008 will be our fourth year. We love spending our Saturday mornings with our fellow volunteers, guests and other friends.
